Adding Text

+ Add Text and you have choices of Themed Text, Titles, and Paragraphs.

Select the desired type of text you want to add and it appears on your page in the editing window. Double click on the text to edit it.

 

To move an item on the page, click the cursor inside it then drag into the desired position.

 

Along the top, select Save and Publish the site, then go to Preview to view your changes. To be able to edit the site more, select the Back to Editor button along the top right.

 

Select the text on your page and you will notice additional tools appear above or below it with additional editing options. One of the options is Edit Text, as it opens the editing window, allowing changes to the font type, style, size, color, alignment, etc.

 

To add a link to the text, highlight the text, click Edit Text above or below it, or double click on the text to open the editing window. Then click on the link icon. It will open a window to select the desired settings. For example, to create an external link you will click the Web Address radial button to add the full Uniform Resource Locator (URL) website address in the box, then the Done button. Notice how the text has an underline to show it is a link. I recommend highlighting the link, then selecting a blue  color, since it is an industry standard.

 

To delete the text, Control click on a (Mac) or right click on a (PC) then select Delete. Sometimes, just selecting the text and pressing Delete key will work. One may need to deselect first by clicking outside of the text, then selecting the text again to get it to work.

After adding body text to the page, if the horizontal dotted line is not located at the bottom of the page, from the left or right side click on it to select it. Then, in the center of the dotted line you will see an Adjust Page Height icon to click and drag it below your page contents.
